So­ma­lian DPM vis­its late Ber­nama pho­tog­ra­pher’s fam­ily

KU ALA LUMP UR: So­ma­lian Deputy Prime Min­is­ter Mo­hamed Omer Arteh, who is on his maiden visit to Malaysia, paid a visit to the fam­ily of Ber­nama TV cam­era­man No­ram­faizul Mohd Nor.

No­ram­faizul was killed by stray bul­lets in Mo­gadishu by African peace­keep­ers on Sept 2, 2011.

He was on a Ke­lab Putera 1Malaysia (KP1M) hu­man­i­tar­ian mis­sion to So­ma­lia.

No­ram­faizul, who was 39, left be­hind his wife, No­raz­rina Jaa­far and two chil­dren — Mohd Ir­fan, 15, and Mohd Na­u­fal, 9.

Omer spoke with No­ram­faizul’s mother, Naemah Abd Ma­jid, 68, at the lat­ter’s fam­ily home in Ser­dang Raya yesterday af­ter­noon.

With them was No­ram­faizul’s fa­ther, Mohd Nor Mat Yasin, 72.
