Somalian DPM visits late Bernama photographer’s family
KU ALA LUMP UR: Somalian Deputy Prime Minister Mohamed Omer Arteh, who is on his maiden visit to Malaysia, paid a visit to the family of Bernama TV cameraman Noramfaizul Mohd Nor.
Noramfaizul was killed by stray bullets in Mogadishu by African peacekeepers on Sept 2, 2011.
He was on a Kelab Putera 1Malaysia (KP1M) humanitarian mission to Somalia.
Noramfaizul, who was 39, left behind his wife, Norazrina Jaafar and two children — Mohd Irfan, 15, and Mohd Naufal, 9.
Omer spoke with Noramfaizul’s mother, Naemah Abd Majid, 68, at the latter’s family home in Serdang Raya yesterday afternoon.
With them was Noramfaizul’s father, Mohd Nor Mat Yasin, 72.
