Park­son opens store at MyTown mall in Cheras

KUALA LUMPUR: Park­son Hold­ings Bhd of­fi­cially opened its new­est store at MyTown Shop­ping Cen­tre in Cheras yesterday, with a fo­cus on chil­dren and baby re­tail­ing.

The store is Park­son’s 45th in Malaysia, and its sec­ond i n Cheras af­ter Sun­way Ve­loc­ity Mall.

Out of the 149, 986 sq ft floor space in MyTown, 15,002 sq ft is oc­cu­pied by Park­son’s chil­dren and baby depart­ment.

Sev­eral ex­clu­sive brands, such as Kor, Mave, French Con­nec­tion and Trucco, are also avail­able in the depart­ment store.

In con­junc­tion with the open­ing, the store is of­fer­ing spe­cial dis­counts for shop­pers from brands like Hush Pup­pies, DC Comics and Disney’s Pixar. Dis­count vouch­ers for up to RM20 are also avail­able with pur­chases.

Park­son also of­fers free Park­son card mem­ber ap­pli­ca­tions ex­clu­sively at MyTown.

MyTown is a joint ven­ture devel­op­ment of Boustead Hold­ings Bhd and Ikano Pte Ltd.

The re­tail por­tion of the ven- ture is ex­pected to com­mand a gross devel­op­ment value (GDV) of RM2 bil­lion, while the res­i­den­tial por­tion will have a GDV of RM1 bil­lion. Ikea and Park­son are the an­chor ten­ants.

Park­son has 131 re­tail stores in five coun­tries across Asia, in­clud­ing Malaysia. It has 60 stores in China, nine in Viet­nam, 16 in In­done­sia and one in Myan­mar.
