Credit Suisse to cut Asian equities jobs
HONG KONG: Credit Suisse Group AG was cutting at least half a dozen equities jobs in Hong Kong and Tokyo, as the bank continued to rein in costs, said sources. Among those leaving were Matt Pecot, head of prime services for the Asia-Pacific region, and Jamie White, a director for sales trading, they said. Credit Suisse also let go four equities analysts in Tokyo. They included Shinya Yamada, who covered steel stocks, and Masami Sawato, which covered chemicals and other industries, said the people.
