Be wary of DAP’s actions, U-turns, says Irmohizam

-

KUALA LUMPUR: A Barisan Nasional lawmaker called DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang to come clean on his party’s marriage of convenience with Pas in the 13th General Election (GE13).

Kuala Selangor member of parliament and Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Dr Irmohizam Ibrahim also said people should to be wary of DAP’s actions and U-turns.

“Before GE13, DAP had been trying their to persuade Chinese voters that all matters related to Islam, such as the hudud agenda, had nothing to do with them.

“Nowadays, they seem to be aggressively opposing the proposed Private Member’s Bill 355 (RUU 355), which was tabled by Pas president (Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang).

“What is more disappointing is that Lim is trying to exploit RUU 355, which, in fact, does not affect non-Muslims, by trying to intimidate and mislead the public,” he said yesterday.

Irmohizam slammed the opposition for making a fuss of the proposed bill.

“What they are doing will only confuse the voters. Everything will be exploited by them as long as it can win votes,” he said.
