JOHOR BARU: Police investigations into the accident that killed eight teenage cyclists last month has been completed.
The investigation papers have been handed over to the state deputy public prosecutor’s office, which will determine whether the 22-year-old woman who drove the Nissan Almera in the incident would be charged.
Johor Baru south district police chief Assistant Commissioner Sulaiman Salleh said the investigation papers were being reviewed by DPPs tasked with the case.
Lawyer S.K. Song, who is representing the woman in the case, said the RM5,000-bail imposed on his client when she was released from police custody had been extended until his client had to go to court again.
