KL sweep gold

KUALA LUMPUR won two gold and one bronze on the open­ing day of the Malaysian Schools Sports Coun­cil (MSSM) rhyth­mic gym­nas­tics com­pe­ti­tion.

The com­pe­ti­tion, held at the Na­tional Sports Coun­cil gym­na­sium one, Bukit Jalil, from March 18-22, saw KL dom­i­nate the team’s com­pe­ti­tion in the pre-ju­nior cat­e­gory.

Iman Alisha Fakhri Yassin led KL to an 8.65 score dif­fer­ence through four ap­pa­ra­tus to win ahead of Se­lan­gor.

Iman was joined by team­mates Ng Joe Ee, Cyn­thia Tan Jing Yi and Adeena Sham­sul Har­ris.

Se­lan­gor scored 89.800 points through Lai Yun Jo, See Qin Nin, Yap Yi Tung and Sa­man­tha Yuen Jia Yin while Pa­hang fin­ished third on 72.950 through Tg Na­trah Adani Dalili Tg Ah­mad Muzaf­far, Nur Qistina Zul Je­fri and Nurin Ba­trisyia Mohd Rosdi

Iman’s sec­ond gold medal for KL came through the all-round in­di­vid­ual com­pe­ti­tion where she ex­celled in the ball, clubs and free­hand to score 38.650.

Trail­ing Iman by 1.300 points in sec­ond spot was Se­lan­gor’s Yun Jo who scored a to­tal of 37.350-points while KL’s Joe Ee col­lected bronze with 36.100-points. Farah Azharie
