‘Apple doesn’t have specific China goal’

New Straits Times - - Business -

BEIJING: Apple Inc doesn’t have a specific goal for market share in China, where it faces the fiercest local competition anywhere, said chief executive officer Tim Cook. China has unique characteristics, in that its mobile payment market is well ahead of the United States and local consumers have a greater willingness to change habits, said Cook at the China Development Forum. He said Apple’s new research and development centres in China should help it reach China’s university community.
