would be the “formula” for the next general election.

“With Pas and Umno cooperating, the Malay political power will increase.

“I believe BN can secure a twothirds majority if the coalition cooperates with the Islamic party.”

He said the fact that the government would be tabling the bill to amend the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 (Act 355) was a “clear sign” that Umno was ready to open its doors to cooperate with Pas.

Mazlan said Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s (PPBM) official entry into Pakatan Harapan would only accelerate political cooperation between Pas and Umno.

“PPBM would make Pakatan Harapan a little stronger, but it would push Pas away from the pact. Pas will not accept Pakatan Harapan because of DAP and Parti Amanah Negara.

“And it is because of this that there is a high chance of Pasworking with Umno,” he said.

On Friday, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said BN was expected to gain renewed strength from a “new friend” that could help it regain a two-thirds majority in the 14th General Election.

Zahid, without naming the “new friend”, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak was working hard and was committed to handling the cooperation councillor in charge (for housing Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad) and the management of LPHS must come out and explain this to the people,” said Sunder here yesterday.

In a statement, the Selangor and Property Board said the Rumah Selangorku Registration Application System (Sistem Pendaftaran Permohonan Rumah Selangorku) kept the database of with wisdom and understanding.

When opening the Terengganu state-level Umno Branches Cluster Meeting last week, Zahid said the government would table Act 355 in the current Parliament session.

Political analyst Professor Dr Sivamurugan Pandian said it would be challenging for Pakatan Harapan to face BN if Pas joined forces with the coalition.

He said even if a Pas-Umno cooperation did not happen, Pas would focus on campaigning against Pakatan Harapan instead of going against BN.

“Loyal supporters of Pas may support BN in the event that BN has to face Pakatan Harapan in a straight fight,” he said. applicants for the affordable homes for only two years.

LPHS said after two years, applicants who were still in the waiting list would be removed from the system.

Those who are interested must apply again to ensure smooth running of the system, which was set up after the affordable homes policy was kickstarted on Jan 1, 2014 in Selangor.
