Squadron brought 3 of its air­craft to per­form at air­show

FOR the Royal Malaysian Air Force’s (RMAF) 18 Squadron, this year’s air­show at the Langkawi In­ter­na­tional Mar­itime and Aerospace Ex­hi­bi­tion (Lima) 2017 takes on dou­ble sig­nif­i­cance.

The squadron, known as The Mighty Hor­nets fly­ing the Boe­ing F/A 18D strike fighter, is cel­e­brat­ing the 20th an­niver­sary of the ar­rival of the first four air­craft, on March 19, and the squadron’s of­fi­cial for­ma­tion on July 1.

Squadron op­er­a­tions chief Ma­jor Haz­man Harun said they were proud to be able to per­form at Lima this year, af­ter 20 years of be­ing in ser­vice for the na­tion.
