Squadron brought 3 of its aircraft to perform at airshow

LANGKAWI

FOR the Royal Malaysian Air Force’s (RMAF) 18 Squadron, this year’s airshow at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (Lima) 2017 takes on double significance.

The squadron, known as The Mighty Hornets flying the Boeing F/A 18D strike fighter, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the arrival of the first four aircraft, on March 19, and the squadron’s official formation on July 1.

Squadron operations chief Major Hazman Harun said they were proud to be able to perform at Lima this year, after 20 years of being in service for the nation.
