Punish driver who videoed accident while in the fast lane

New Straits Times - - Letters -

I REFER to the tragic news about a motorist who was killed when someone drove in the wrong direction on a highway .

In our insatiable appetite to share everything we see by recording videos and putting them online, we often fail to warn those who do so of the laws that they are breaking and the dangers that they could be exposing others to.

A video was posted online of the accused driver driving in the wrong direction and causing a multiple car pile-up.

I am appalled and alarmed over this clip, as it is very clear from the video that the individual who did the recording did it while driving in the fast lane.

How crazy and irresponsible is that?

This recklessness could have caused another accident and resulted in the loss of more lives.

I hope the authorities will charge this reckless driver for endangering other road users.
