Safirul look­ing for­ward to dis­cuss fu­ture of the de­vel­op­ment pro­gramme with new FAM pres­i­dent

THE Na­tional Foot­ball De­vel­op­ment Pro­gramme (NFDP) want to meet newly elected FA of Malaysia (FAM) pres­i­dent Tunku Is­mail Sul­tan Ibrahim over the Jo­hor roy­alty’s pro­posal to chan­nel funds di­rectly to the na­tional body and their af­fil­i­ates for de­vel­op­ment.

NFDP chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Safirul Azli Abi Bakar said the sooner the meet­ing takes place, the bet­ter it would be to iron out de­tails and see what’s best for de­vel­op­ment in the coun­try.

“We will brief the new pres­i­dent and his ex­ec­u­tive com­mit­tee on how we op­er­ate and the cur­rent sce­nario on the ground, and we hope to get a feed­back on how to go about things,” Safirul said yes­ter­day.
