THE National Football Development Programme (NFDP) want to meet newly elected FA of Malaysia (FAM) president Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim over the Johor royalty’s proposal to channel funds directly to the national body and their affiliates for development.
NFDP chief executive officer Safirul Azli Abi Bakar said the sooner the meeting takes place, the better it would be to iron out details and see what’s best for development in the country.
“We will brief the new president and his executive committee on how we operate and the current scenario on the ground, and we hope to get a feedback on how to go about things,” Safirul said yesterday.
