Trump to roll back Obama’s green plan

New Straits Times - - World -

WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump will sign an executive order today to undo his predecessor Barack Obama’s Clean Power Plan to limit greenhouse gas emissions from coal-fuelled power plants. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt, a fossil-fuel ally, said rolling back Obama’s 2015 plan would bring back coal jobs and lower electricity rates for Americans. But, supporters of the Clean Power Plan say it would help create thousands of clean-energy jobs.
