Three charged for insider trading
KUALA LUMPUR: Two senior managers and a freelance consultant were charged in the Sessions Court with seven counts of insider trading involving 145,000 units of shares. Investment bank senior manager Ewe Lay Peng is accused of communicating to Lim Bun Hwa, 41 information not generally and publicly available, which upon becoming available would have a material effect on the value of Pacificmas Bhd shares. Ewe was charged under 188(3)(b) of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 (Act 671). Lim was charged under Section 370(c) of the Act. Boon Cheng was charged under Section 188(2)(a) of the Act.
