Factory worker, Pakistani found with 3 Asian Palm Civets, 10 Dusky Leaf Monkeys

On the first and second counts, Intan was charged with keeping two males and a female Asian Palm Civet, while on the third and fourth counts, she was accused of keeping a male and six female Dusky Leaf Monkeys, which are protected species under the first schedule of the act, without licence.
She allegedly committed the offences at her house at No. 6, Jalan Ampang Kiri, Desa Pasifik at 12.30pm on March 28.
The charge under Section 60(1)(a) of the act for keeping the male species carries a maximum fine of RM50,000 or a jail term of not more than two years, or both, if convicted.
