Glenmarie LRT station is now CGC-Glenmarie

-

KUALA LUMPUR: The Glenmarie LRT station will now be known as CGC-Glenmarie LRT station.

This is part of the Prasarana Integrated Development Sdn Bhd (PRIDE) Station Naming Rights programme, which provides full leverage for the appointed partner in projecting its brand and image within the facility.

PRIDE, a subsidiary of Prasarana Malaysia Bhd (Prasarana), accorded the naming rights privilege to Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Bhd (CGC).

The CGC-Glenmarie LRT station is the fourth station renamed under the programme after Bangsar, Bukit Bintang and Universiti — now known as Bank Rakyat-Bangsar LRT, AirAsiaBukit Bintang Monorail and KL Gateway-Universiti LRT stations, respectively.

PRIDE chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Zahir Zahur Hussain said CGC would reap massive benefits in this investment by securing wider mileage and higher businesses.

“The CGC-Glenmarie station is strategic, given its massive park and ride facilities, and its future connectivity with LRT3 (Light Rail Transit Line 3).

“It (CGC-Glenmarie station) will be connected to the Bandar Utama MRT station via LRT3. This will ensure high LRT and MRT ridership.”

As part of its contract with PRIDE, CGC was offered a retail kiosk to take advantage of the high ridership for the LRT Kelana Jaya Line.
