NST C-Cycle Challenge extends registration deadline to Saturday
KUALA LUMPUR: Due to overwhelming public response, the registration deadline for the NST C-Cycle Challenge has been extended to Saturday.
Organised by the New Straits Times in partnership with Eco World Development Bhd and cosponsored by Bank Rakyat and Volkswagen, the century ride will be held on May 21.
The event includes participants from China, South Africa, Norway, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and Germany.
New Straits Times Press Bhd Marketing Department content activation executive Mahamad Zaidi Mat Noor said professional cyclists were also expected to participate in the challenge.
The event is split into a 160km century ride and 35km Fun Ride, which will be flagged off from Eco Grandeur (sales gallery) at Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari, Bandar Puncak Alam, and continue to Puncak Alam-Simpang Tiga Jeram to Kuala Selangor-Batu Arang and back.
Those interested in competing in one of the four categories under the 160km century ride — men’s open (18 to 35 years old), women’s open (15 and above), senior men’s open (36 and above) and team open (with a minimum of five cyclists) — must pay a RM160 participation fee.
The 35km Fun Ride is also open to corporate senior management (by invitation) and all ages, with a RM50 fee.
Registration for the event can be made online at www.nst.com.my/c-cycle or www.sports360.my or contact 0341421333 (Registration/Sports360).
