Guards face rap after inmate dies of thirst
WASHINGTON: A United States jury on Monday recommended that seven jail employees be charged with cutting off water for seven days to an inmate, who later died of dehydration. Terrill Thomas, 38, died last year in Milwaukee County jail. Stunning details emerged last week before the jury in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Thomas was deprived of water because the guards wanted to punish him for his behaviour. The man was held for opening fire on a highway and in a casino, injuring one person.
