I-Berhad sees RM500m revenue

New Straits Times - - Business -

SHAH ALAM: I-Berhad is confident of generating RM500 million in revenue this year, up from the RM383.6 million last year.

This will be done mainly through the building up of the company’s property development segment as well as, to a lesser extent, its hospitality arm.

I-Berhad deputy chairman Datuk Eu Hong Chew said this was in keeping with the company’s double-digit growth recorded in the past few years.

The company at present has three business segments: leisure, property investment and property development.

Eu said that, however, the property investment portfolio (e.g. shopping malls) had not shown much growth in earning.

This is in contrast to the double-digit growth in revenue from I-Berhad’s property development segment.

He told the media yesterday that the revenue came mainly from the company’s 28.94ha freehold i-City development here, which has a gross development value of RM9 billion. Francis Dass
