Hafizh takes three valu­able points

HAFIZH Syahrin gained three Moto2 points from the Span­ish GP in Jerez when he fin­ished 13th yes­ter­day.

He was 25.522 sec­onds be­hind win­ner Spa­niard Alex Mar­quez with Ital­ian Francesco Bag­naia and Miguel Oliveira of Por­tu­gal sec­ond and third, re­spec­tively.

The Petronas Race­line Malaysia rider is now 13th over­all on the World stand­ings with 14 points af­ter four races.

Com­pa­triot Khairul Id­ham Pawi of Idemitsu Honda Team Asia suf­fered his first DNF (did not fin­ish) of the sea­son af­ter com­plet­ing only 12 laps and has yet to col­lect a sin­gle point.

Khairul wasn’t the only one who recorded a first DNF as Adam Nor­rodin of SIC Rac­ing Team suf­fered the same fate in Moto3 af­ter do­ing only 11 laps.

Adam, 18, was among the list of five riders not clas­si­fied while his Ja­panese team­mate Ayumu Sasaki fin­ished 15th, just above the points col­lec­tion line.

Ayumu was 14.062 sec­onds be­hind win­ner Spa­niard Aron Canet at 41:25.706s, for his first win of the sea­son for Canet’s team Estrella Gali­cia.
