POLICE confirmed a New Straits Times report that top Malaysian Islamic State (IS) operative in Syria, Muhammad Wanndy Mohamed Jedi, has been killed.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar tweeted yesterday that Wanndy was killed on April 29.
