KUALA LUMPUR: The Wow Carnival booth at Umno’s 71st anniversary carnival yesterday was a big hit with visitors.

Thousands thronged the booth and took part in many activities, and were also able to meet their favourite celebrities.

Media Prima Television Networks chief executive officer Datuk Kamal Khalid said the event allowed Media Prima Bhd to bring their content, programme and activities closer to their target audience.

“For this two-day event, we will conduct TV host auditions for Nona, live shooting for Wanita Hari Ini and also a Mentor Milenia concert,” he said.

The Wow Carnival booth was divided into sections: Laman Wow (Cerekarama, Inspirasi and Tonton), Bananana Land, Gelanggang Kita Juara and Wow on air.

Visitor Koh Gim Guan, 42, said he wanted to try the delicacies at the carnival.

“Since my girlfriend and I love food so much and we heard that there will be a lot of food trucks, we drove from Klang just for food-hunting,” he said.

There were more than 200 food trucks and stalls selling clothes, bags and other local products.

Mohd Thoha Robbani Omar, 23, said he came here to register as an Umno member.

“I have been excited about this carnival, so I brought along three of my friends,” he said.
