Prop­er­ties worth about RM2.3b will be avail­able at 81 events this year

ATOTAL of 21,672 1Malaysia Peo­ple’s Hous­ing Pro­gramme (PR1MA) houses with an es­ti­mated gross de­vel­op­ment value of RM2.3 bil­lion will be up for sale dur­ing 81 PR1MA Open Day events na­tion­wide this year.

PR1MA Corp chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Datuk Ab­dul Mu­talib Alias said in pre­vi­ous years, it was busy putting in place the foun­da­tion for its mission but was now ready to of­fer its prod­ucts to the mar­ket.

Mu­talib said to date, PR1MA had held 30 open day and 26 mini open day events na­tion­wide, with the lat­ter tar­geted at cor­po­rate and gov­ern­ment of­fi­cers.

“The PR1MA Open Day is an in­ter­ac­tive way for us to ex­plain our prod­ucts.

“PR1MA will also open more sales gal­leries to make it eas­ier for buy­ers to pe­ruse PR1MA prod­ucts and fa­cil­i­tate the pur­chas­ing process,” he told a me­dia brief­ing, here, yes­ter­day.

Mu­talib said apart from the sales gallery at Oa­sis Ara Da­mansara, PR1MA also had a sales gallery and of­fice in Kuch­ing.

“There are plans to open sales gal­leries in Me­laka, Sabah and Perak.”

PR1MA has show­houses at 12 of its project sites while 8,475 units have been com­pleted.

As of last month, 1.43 mil­lion Malaysians had reg­is­tered with PR1MA, with 166,972 hav­ing ap­plied for its hous­ing units.

To date, PR1MA has ap­proved the con­struc­tion of 265,033 units, with 139,419 cur­rently un­der var­i­ous stages of con­struc­tion.

More than 10,000 PR1MA hous­ing units na­tion­wide have been booked, with 8,133 buy­ers hav­ing signed the sales and pur­chase agree­ment.
