21,672 HOUSES UP FOR SALE NATIONWIDE

Properties worth about RM2.3b will be available at 81 events this year

ATOTAL of 21,672 1Malaysia People’s Housing Programme (PR1MA) houses with an estimated gross developmen­t value of RM2.3 billion will be up for sale during 81 PR1MA Open Day events nationwide this year.

PR1MA Corp chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Mutalib Alias said in previous years, it was busy putting in place the foundation for its mission but was now ready to offer its products to the market.

Mutalib said to date, PR1MA had held 30 open day and 26 mini open day events nationwide, with the latter targeted at corporate and government officers.

“The PR1MA Open Day is an interactiv­e way for us to explain our products.

“PR1MA will also open more sales galleries to make it easier for buyers to peruse PR1MA products and facilitate the purchasing process,” he told a media briefing, here, yesterday.

Mutalib said apart from the sales gallery at Oasis Ara Damansara, PR1MA also had a sales gallery and office in Kuching.

“There are plans to open sales galleries in Melaka, Sabah and Perak.”

PR1MA has showhouses at 12 of its project sites while 8,475 units have been completed.

As of last month, 1.43 million Malaysians had registered with PR1MA, with 166,972 having applied for its housing units.

To date, PR1MA has approved the constructi­on of 265,033 units, with 139,419 currently under various stages of constructi­on.

More than 10,000 PR1MA housing units nationwide have been booked, with 8,133 buyers having signed the sales and purchase agreement.
