MORE SPACE NEEDED AT KANGAR HOSPITAL

-

PARKING woes at Tuanku Fauziah Hospital in Kangar, especially during visiting hours in the afternoon and evening, are continuing to pose problems for hospital visitors.

Many have to spend almost half an hour circling the building just to find a parking space, with some even resorting to double parking when the search ends in vain.

A lecturer, Azrul Nizah Yusoff, said it is a hassle for those wanting to visit relatives or friends as they were wasting precious time during visiting hours searching for a place to park.

“It is even worse for patients, especially the elderly or pregnant women. Some even have to park outside the building.

“Imagine how far they have to walk in their poor health conditions. Most parking spaces in the hospital looks like they are being occupied by the staff.

“We need more parking spaces to cater to the staff and increasing number of patients, especially after Block B was completed and began operating last year,” said the 37-year-old mother of four.
