GO Automobile Manufacturing (Go Auto) has expanded into Batam, Indonesia, with the launch of its latest edition Haval H1, H2 and H8.

Go Auto, which is the sole distributor for Haval vehicles in Malaysia, is aggressively expanding into the Indonesian market in an effort to make Malaysia a Haval sports utility vehicle assembling hub with energy-efficient vehicles status for the Asean market.

“We have received almost 100 units of bookings for Batam and we are optimistic the number will increase after the official launch. Our target for this year in Batam is 400 units.

“Other than Cambodia, Brunei and Batam, Go Auto is planning to enter several Asean countries, including Vietnam, the Philippines and Myanmar between this year and next year.

“We also have demands from Singapore, which we think is fascinating. It’s not due to market value, but more on the brand itself. Haval’s arrival in Singapore will be a benchmark for the brand in Asean,” said Go Auto chief executive officer Ahmad Azam Sulaiman.

Batam is the latest market in Asean for Go Auto after it successfully marketed the brand in Cambodia and Brunei.

Haval is an abbreviation for “Have All”. The brand not only offers vehicles at an affordable price but is also built with the latest technology.
