Double joy for Hoo Tat Chang

HO O Tat Chang Sports Club footballers were on cloud nine after clinching both the Veterans and Masters titles at the Waterfall Rangers-Delta Force 2nd Invitational Soccer 7’s 2017 recently.

The Cambodian outfit — the only foreign team in the fray — did not come with a full force and roped in former Malacca striker Shamsurin Abdul Rahman and Penang’s Chee Wan Hoe for added strength.

Datuk Hoo Tat Chang, the founder of the club, said he brought some players from his factory in Cambodia and blended them with former local players and the decision paid off.

In the Masters category final, Shamsurin’s goal in the first minute of the second half helped Hoo Tat Chang defeat Waterfall Rangers SC 1-0 while in the Veterans final, they crushed Kuala Lumpur’s Umbro A Sports 3-1. K. Kandiah
