TNB Ca­ble signs MoU with Thai­land’s GOV Sup­ply

BANGKOK: Te­naga Na­sional Bhd unit Te­naga Ca­ble In­dus­tries Sdn Bhd (TCI) has inked a mem­o­ran­dum of un­der­stand­ing (MoU) with Thai-based GOV Sup­ply Ltd (GOV) to ex­plore busi­ness op­por­tu­ni­ties in Thai­land and coun­tries in the re­gion.

The MoU would also en­able TCI to ven­ture into new mar­kets in Southeast Asia.

“With al­most 60 years of ex­pe­ri­ence as one of the lead­ing power ca­ble man­u­fac­turer and ca­ble-re­lated solutions providers in Malaysia, TCI is poised to ven­ture over­seas.

“As such, we are en­gag­ing rep­utable part­ners in or­der to man­age risks and re­lated busi­ness, as well as mar­ket chal­lenges,” said TCI man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Amir Mah­mod Ab­dul­lah after the MoU sign­ing cer­e­mony here re­cently.

The cer­e­mony was wit­nessed by Malaysian Am­bas­sador to Thai­land Datuk Nazi­rah Hus­sain and Malaysia Ex­ter­nal Trade De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion As­sis­tant Trade Com­mis­sioner in Thai­land Nor Az­man Adam.

Amir said the ar­range­ment would en­able TCI to lever­age GOV’s net­work, re­la­tion­ship and ex­pe­ri­ence.

GOV chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Piya Phiryapokanont said there were a lot of busi­ness op­por­tu­ni­ties for TCI to ex­plore, with power de­mand growth in Thai­land and other coun­tries in In­dochina. Ber­nama
