Six Malindo Air stew­ardesses ex­pected to be charged

SEPANG: Twelve peo­ple, in­clud­ing six stew­ardesses, who were nabbed for ke­tamine pos­ses­sion on Fri­day, are ex­pected to be charged in court af­ter their re­mand ex­pires to­mor­row.

Dis­trict po­lice chief As­sis­tant Com­mis­sioner Ab­dul Aziz Ali said po­lice were look­ing for a man who was be­lieved to have sup­plied the drugs to the sus­pects.

“The man is known as Izat. We are look­ing for him to fa­cil­i­tate in­ves­ti­ga­tions into the case,” he said when con­tacted.

Six Malindo Air stew­ardesses and six men were ar­rested dur­ing a raid at a house in Kota Warisan, here at 1.30pm.

The urine of the sus­pects, aged be­tween 19 and 25, tested pos­i­tive for ke­tamine.

Po­lice also seized 0.05g of ke­tamine found in the liv­ing room of the house.

The sus­pect are be­ing in­ves­ti­gated un­der Sec­tion 12 (2) of the Dan­ger­ous Drugs Act 1952.

If con­victed, of­fend­ers can be slapped with a fine not more than RM100,000 or max­i­mum im­pris­on­ment of five years, or both.
