Six Malindo Air stewardesses expected to be charged
SEPANG: Twelve people, including six stewardesses, who were nabbed for ketamine possession on Friday, are expected to be charged in court after their remand expires tomorrow.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Aziz Ali said police were looking for a man who was believed to have supplied the drugs to the suspects.
“The man is known as Izat. We are looking for him to facilitate investigations into the case,” he said when contacted.
Six Malindo Air stewardesses and six men were arrested during a raid at a house in Kota Warisan, here at 1.30pm.
The urine of the suspects, aged between 19 and 25, tested positive for ketamine.
Police also seized 0.05g of ketamine found in the living room of the house.
The suspect are being investigated under Section 12 (2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
If convicted, offenders can be slapped with a fine not more than RM100,000 or maximum imprisonment of five years, or both.
