(I have an announcement. I am currently on set to film a megadrama for Astro! Thank you so much to @skopproductions officials for trusting me with the role of Maya Adriana and for giving me this huge opportunity. I still can’t believe it! I’m nervous, excited, happy, scared all at once!)
“The cool part about this was that the production team had me in their mind to play Maya Adriana. So, of course, I said yes!
“I love acting. I don’t have any words to express how happy I am right now.
“When I was younger, I used to watch dramas starring Aaron Aziz. I’ve always hoped to meet and act beside him some day. And my dream has come true as Aaron plays the male lead in this drama!” said Tan when contacted by the New Straits Times recently.
The 23-year-old artiste said she’s warming up to the idea of appearing in more TV dramas. “Before this I was apprehensive because my Malay wasn’t that great.
“But I think my Malay has improved. I made sure to get the script way in advance so that I could practise and give my best on set. I think everything is going well.
“I’m hoping to remain on this side of the industry for as long as I can. I also hope that after this drama, I will be offered a variety of roles,” said Tan who is recording two singles, one in English and the other in Malay.
