‘HARIAN METRO’ LAUNCHES METROTV
News app will feature exclusive video news content daily
BAHASA Malaysia daily Harian Metro added another feather to its cap yesterday, launching a new app called MetroTV, in association with Media Prima Bhd unit Media Prima Labs (MPLabs).
MetroTV, a news app, will feature daily video news content for subscribers.
It will present exclusive video content featuring a wide variety of daily news, including human interest, crime, sports, entertainment, politics and semi-documentaries.
The launch was held at the Glasshouse in Seputeh and witnessed by about 100 guests and celebrities.
Present at the launch were New Straits Times Press chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Jalil Hamid, Harian Metro group editor Datuk Mustapa Omar and Media Prima Digital chief executive officer Rafiq Razali.
Mustapa said MetroTV would enable subscribers to watch live news coverage.
“MetroTV will further strengthen the status of Harian Metro as a popular Bahasa Malaysia newspaper.”
Among the news segments featured on MetroTV are Kalender Jenayah, Metro@7, Kafe Ahad, Eksklusif, HM viral, Suara Maya and user generated content (UGC).
The app is available to both iOS and Android users.
