Moyes keen on Scotland job

LONDON: David Moyes would be interested in the Scotland manager’s job should it become available this summer.

The 54-year-old quit as boss of Sunderland on Monday and is currently on holiday with his wife in America.

Moyes, however, would be the frontrunner for his country’s national team position if Gordon Strachan were to leave in the coming months and it is understood he would talk to the SFA.

Scotland face England in a World Cup qualifier at Hampden Park on June 10 and defeat could spell the end of Strachan’s fourand-a-half-year reign.

They are currently fourth in Group F and the manager has found himself under pressure from supporters during a disappointing campaign.

Moyes walked away from Sunderland this week in the wake of relegation from the English Premier League after losing the support of the dressing-room and the club’s supporters. Daily Mail
