LOOKING for a place to hang out with friends and at the same time, enjoy good food? You don’t need to look far. There’s one right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Head over Tapak Urban Street Dining in Hampshire Park (next to Corus Hotel), along Jalan Ampang.
There are about 30 food trucks here, offering sumptuous cuisine, from local to Western selections. Feast on kolo mee, spaghetti, lamb chop, cheesy roti John, chicken chop, cheesy chicken wing and more. Being eco-friendly, diners are required to dispose utensils and wastes in garbage bins.
Operating since last year, it is popular among locals and tourists. It is open from 5pm to midnight on Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 3am on Friday and 3pm to 3am on weekend. You can enjoy alfresco dining while admiring the stunning view of the city.
Tapak is near KLCC and is equipped with a secured compound and ample parking (RM2 per entry). Alternatively, you can take the LRT.
The choice is huge, from Asian to Western specialities.
