ABOUT 400 res­i­dents in Ta­man Mount Austin Phase Two, Jo­hor Baru, are hav­ing sleep­less nights and fall­ing sick due to smoke and noise com­ing from ce­ment batching con­ducted at a con­struc­tion site in front of their homes.

The noise and works go on till late night de­spite a re­port lodged against the project developer in June.

Ta­man Mount Austin Phase Two Res­i­dents As­so­ci­a­tion spokesman K.H. Wong said they were at their wit’s end on how to solve their woes.

He said the noise and work went on dur­ing the day and well into the night as con­struc­tion was con­ducted be­tween from 7am to 11pm, de­spite an agree­ment with the developer to cease work at night.
