Nabil aims for top 15 finish in Monaco

MALAYSIAN Formula Two Championship driver Muhammad Nabil Jeffri is targeting a top 15 finish in Monaco this weekend.

“Monaco has always been difficult but I’m optimistic,” said Nabil yesterday.

The 23-year-old’s first race resulted in a DNF in Bahrain in April while his most recent race in Bahrain earlier this month saw him finish in 17th place.

Nabil, who is in his first season with Trident Motorsport, wants to overcome the bitter memory of last year when he crashed.

Aside from the crash, Nabil is also wary of the threat posed by Prema Racing’s Charles Leclerc and four-time Formula Three European champion Antonio Fuoco.

However, Nabil feels he is prepared for this weekend after going in and out of karting and simulation.

“I have been doing a lot of karting and on a simulator.

“The outcome was great and I feel more confident, and I believe that I can perform better.” Farah Azharie
