Nurul Ain shows her power
NURUL AIN AZMI was outstanding at the Negri Sembilan Closed Inter Club Muay Thai Championships at state sports council hall recently.
Nurul Ain, 18, of Kelab Singa Muda, outfought Izzatul Idayu Mohammad Nadzir of Muay Thai Port Dickson 2-1 in the girls’ 6063kg category final.
“I was active in netball, handball and police cadets in school. Then in 2014, I began my muay thai lessons at my club in Ampangan under coach Zulkifli Mohd Yazid,” said Nurul Ain.
Excited by the physical nature of the sport, Nurul Ain said she decided to give it her full focus.
“I train two and a half hours a day and finally, all my hard work has paid off. I shall now focus on the national meet in Kuala Lumpur (August).”
