Nu­rul Ain shows her power

NU­RUL AIN AZMI was out­stand­ing at the Ne­gri Sem­bi­lan Closed In­ter Club Muay Thai Cham­pi­onships at state sports coun­cil hall re­cently.

Nu­rul Ain, 18, of Ke­lab Singa Muda, out­fought Iz­zatul Idayu Mo­ham­mad Nadzir of Muay Thai Port Dick­son 2-1 in the girls’ 6063kg cat­e­gory fi­nal.

“I was ac­tive in net­ball, hand­ball and po­lice cadets in school. Then in 2014, I be­gan my muay thai lessons at my club in Am­pan­gan un­der coach Zulk­i­fli Mohd Yazid,” said Nu­rul Ain.

Ex­cited by the phys­i­cal na­ture of the sport, Nu­rul Ain said she de­cided to give it her full fo­cus.

“I train two and a half hours a day and fi­nally, all my hard work has paid off. I shall now fo­cus on the na­tional meet in Kuala Lumpur (Au­gust).”

Ne­gri Sem­bi­lan Muay Thai As­so­ci­a­tion pres­i­dent Mohd Hanif Yunus said the turnout of ex­po­nents from 11 clubs and af­fil­i­ates was en­cour­ag­ing. S. Solomon Sa­muel
