AMERICAN-BORN Wan Kuzain Wan Kamal is unlikely to represent Malaysia in the Kuala Lumpur Sea Games in August.

The FA of Malaysia (FAM) have no plans to entice Wan Kuzain, who made his professional debut with United Soccer League’s (USL) club Swope Park Rangers this season, as the midfielder is eyeing on playing in Major Soccer League (MSL) or Europe one day.

“Everyone knows about Wan Kuzain. However, nobody here has suggested that we bring him to Malaysia to play in the Sea Games,” said national Under-22 manager Datuk Yusoff Mahadi yesterday.

Coach Ong Kim Swee has selected 26 players for a playing tour of China next month. The trainees will report tomorrow at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya and will leave for China on June 8.

The team will play China’s Under-22 team on June 10 in Xiangtan, followed by the reserve teams of Guangzhou R&F (June 13) and Guangzhou Evergrande (June 15), both in Guangzhou.

They will likely take on Melaka in a friendly on June 22 before breaking camp on the following day.

It will be Kim Swee’s fourth Sea Games
