30,200 pil­grims to per­form haj this year

KUALA LUMPUR: Tabung Haji has an­nounced that a to­tal of 30,200 Malaysian pil­grims will per­form the haj this year.

The first group would leave for Mecca by air on July 24, said Lem­baga Tabung Haji chair­man Datuk Ab­dul Azeez Ab­dul Rahim.

“All ar­range­ments have been made and prepa­ra­tions are run­ning smoothly, in­clud­ing send­ing of­fer let­ters to pil­grims.

“The pil­grims have also replied, stat­ing their con­sent,” Azeez said af­ter hand­ing over two Ex­ora Turbo 1.6 CVT Ex­ec­u­tive cars to the cham­pi­ons of the 60th Qari and Qariah Qu­ranic Recita­tion and Me­mori­sa­tion Com­pe­ti­tion.
