KUALA LUMPUR: One hundred full scholarships valued at RM2 million to study at Asia Metropolitan University in the areas of Business Studies and Health Sciences are up for grabs.

A brainchild of the private university together with non-governmental organisation Chambers of Socially Responsible Malaysia, the programme aims to help youths to further their education at the foundation level.

Chambers of Socially Responsible Malaysia president Rizmel Nazrin Abdul Malik told the New Straits Times that the scholarship would require students to study at the Cheras campus for the July intake.

“The scholarship programme covers the foundation level. We are targeting all youths, from the underprivileged to the urban.”

Asked why the scholarship was available only for the Business Studies and Health Science programmes, Rizmel said these two areas were the most promising in terms of job prospects.

Interested applicants can send in their resume and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia results to Rizmel at rizmelnazrin@gmail.com, and the board will deliberate on awarding deserving candidates individual scholarships.

The foundation programmes for both courses last from one to one and a half years.

The closing date for application for the scholarship is end of July.
