Woman in­spec­tor al­leged to have com­mit­ted offence at Beats Club

APOLICEWOMAN was yes­ter­day charged in the mag­is­trate’s court with con­sort­ing with or­gan­ised crim­i­nal group Gang 360 De­van two years ago.

In­spec­tor Kusha­lani Sassie, 31, was al­leged to have com­mit­ted the offence at Beats Club, No 30 Jalan 22a/70a, Desa Sri Har­ta­mas, near here, be­tween March and July 2015. No plea was recorded.

The case will be tried un­der the Se­cu­rity Of­fences (Spe­cial Mea­sures) Act 2012 (Sosma).

Deputy pub­lic pros­e­cu­tor Mohd Izhanud­din Alias ap­peared for the pros­e­cu­tion, while Kusha­lani was rep­re­sented by S. Sel­vam.

Mag­is­trate Siti Radziah Ka­marud­din fixe d June 15 for men­tion.

On May 24, 36 mem­bers of Gang 360 De­van claimed trial at the High Court to be­ing part of an or­gan­ised crim­i­nal group.

The sus­pects, in­clud­ing politi­cian Datuk M. Kalai Arasu, were charged with be­ing in­volved with an or­gan­ised crime group at MV Em­payer Sdn Bhd, No 1, Jalan Per­ni­a­gaan Mas­ria 1, Pusat Per­ni­a­gaan Mas­ria, Batu 9, Cheras, be­tween Jan 1, 2015, and Feb 7 this year.

The men were ar­rested un­der Sosma, which does not al­low bail.

Their trial has been fixed from July 24 to 28.
