New SUV open for viewing this month

KUALA LUMPUR: The upcoming all-new Toyota C-HR compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) will be open for public viewing from this month at selected showrooms and other venues in Peninsular Malaysia.

UMW Toyota Motor said the compact SUV was powered by a 1.8-litre Dual VVT-i engine and would come equipped with a Continuous Variable Transmissi­on (CVT) with sequential shifter.

The SUV made its first appearance at the MAA-Carlist.my Test Drive & Buy Event at the Setia City Convention Centre, Selangor, in May.

“It comes with a full range of safety features, including Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), side mirror puddle lights, Follow-mehome headlights and a luxurious interior,” said the company in a statement yesterday.

“The C-HR will be on display during the Toyota GAZOO Racing (TGR) Festival on August 1213 at Batu Kawan Stadium, Penang.

It will then be on display at the Toyota Subang Jaya showroom (August 16-22), Mid Valley (August 23-27) and Sunway Pyramid (September 4-10), among others.
