NSTP sup­ports ‘1 fam­ily-1 home’ goal

ALOR STAR: The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd is com­mit­ted to sup­port­ing the growth of Kedah’s prop­erty sec­tor and its aim of ful­fill­ing the state gov­ern­ment’s “one fam­ily-one home” as­pi­ra­tion.

Its chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer, Datuk Ab­dul Jalil Ab­dul Hamid, said the Kedah prop­erty mar­ket out­look was up­beat fol­low­ing the com­ple­tion of the Ipoh-Padang Be­sar elec­tri­fied dou­ble track project.

Jalil said the ad­vanced Elec­tric Train Ser­vice (ETS) and Ko­muter ser­vices had en­abled peo­ple to work and live across the states in the north­ern re­gion.

“The en­hanced trans­porta­tion sys­tems such as ETS and Ko­muter ser­vices act as a cat­a­lyst for prop­erty sec­tor growth in south­ern Kedah up to Alor Star.

“We are look­ing at an in­creas­ing trend of peo­ple who are work­ing in Penang look­ing for af­ford­able homes in Sun­gai Pe­tani and even Alor Star.

“The NSTP MyRumah Prop­erty Show­case 2017 is a man­i­fes­ta­tion of our com­mit­ment to con­nect­ing po­ten­tial buy­ers and the de­vel­op­ers to tap into the grow­ing prop­erty mar­ket in Kedah,” said Jalil.

The prop­erty show­case, open from 10am to 10pm, fea­tures nine prom­i­nent de­vel­op­ers — Aman Se­tia Group, Belle­view Group, Bina Daru­la­man Bhd, Irama Jaya Group, Ori­en­tal In­ter­est Group, OSK Prop­erty Group, Para­mount Prop­er­ties, Sun­suria Bhd and SPNB Aspi­rasi Sdn Bhd.

Also par­tic­i­pat­ing are e-hail­ing ser­vice provider Grab, Le­pro, the Na­tional Higher Ed­u­ca­tion Fund Cor­po­ra­tion, Amanah Raya, Cuckoo and LG.

The prop­erty show­case also fea­tures ap­pear­ances by dee­jays Haziq and Issey from Hot FM, Usop Men­tor and Ezwan Arif from Neon Band to­day, be­sides fun-filled ac­tiv­i­ties for chil­dren. By Ili Shazwani
