Vic­tim, 13, is seven months’ preg­nant

PO­LICE have ar­rested a 16-year-old teenager for al­legedly rap­ing his younger sis­ter, who is now seven months’ preg­nant. The boy was held af­ter a re­port was lodged by their fa­ther who no­ticed change to the 13-year-old girl’s physique.

He took the teenager to a clinic for a check-up and doc­tors there con­firmed the girl was preg­nant.

The vic­tim was then re­ferred to Ka­jang hos­pi­tal.

Ka­jang po­lice chief As­sis­tant Com­mis­sioner Dzaf­fir Mohd Yus­sof said a re­port was lodged on Mon­day.

“The vic­tim ad­mit­ted that she had been raped more than 10 times by the brother while their par­ents were out.

“The in­ci­dents were be­lieved to have taken place since Oc­to­ber last year,” he said.

Dzaf­fir said po­lice de­tained the brother abour 12.30pm on Tues­day.

The boy has been re­manded un­til Sun­day.

The case is be­ing in­ves­ti­gated un­der Sec­tion 376B of the Pe­nal Code for statu­tory rape, which car­ries the max­i­mum 30 years’ im­pris­on­ment and whip­ping upon con­vic­tion.
