THE authorities responsible for managing Taman Sungai Hijau Flat in Fraser’s Hill, Pahang, have been urged to take immediate action to clean up its vicinity. Despite being within the state’s highland resort, the low-cost flat’s surroundings were found littered with rubbish, especially near the dumpsters.

Besides being an eyesore, the rubbish poses a serious health hazard to residents and visitors alike as it may be a breeding ground for Aedes mosquitoes and rats.

This is despite this year being Visit Pa- hang Year.

A signboard put up by the Fraser’s Hill Town Council exhorting the public to keep Taman Sungai Hijau clean.
