Mohd Rani is new KTMB chief
KUALA LUMPUR: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) has appointed Mohd Rani Hisham Samsudin as its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective yesterday, said KTMB in a statement yesterday.
Mohd Rani replaces Datuk Sarbini Tijan, whose contract ended on April 30.
His appointment was made through a letter issued by the Finance Ministry, the national railway company added.
A graduate of Northrop University in the United States, Mohd Rani was previously the CEO of KL Airport Services Sdn Bhd (KLAS) under DRB-HICOM Bhd.
KLAS has since been injected into Pos Malaysia Bhd and is now known as Pos Aviation Services Sdn Bhd.
He started his career with Kontena Nasional Sdn Bhd, based in California, in 1986.
In 1991, he kickstarted his career in Malaysia with Kontena Nasional Bhd before holdings positions at MISC Bhd, Sime Darby Bhd and several others.
Mohd Rani has 31 years of experience in the logistics and supply chain segments.
