PM urges min­istries to get ready to im­ple­ment plans

EV­ERY min­istry must be ready to im­ple­ment and en­sure goals out­lined in the 2018 Bud­get will be achieved, said Prime Min­is­ter Datuk Seri Na­jib Razak.

He was re­fer­ring to the Sup­ply Bill 2018, which was passed at the De­wan Rakyat yes­ter­day, af­ter se­cur­ing a ma­jor­ity bloc di­vi­sion vote from among its mem­bers.

“Al­ham­dullil­lah (praise be to God), the Sup­ply Bill 2018 or 2018 Bud­get was passed by the De­wan Rakyat for the first read­ing.

“I want ev­ery min­istry to be ready to en­sure what has been out­lined is achieved and de­liv­ered to the peo­ple,” he posted on his Twit­ter and Face­book ac­counts.

The bill seeks to al­lo­cate RM280.25 bil­lion for op­er­at­ing and de­vel­op­ment ex­pen­di­ture, and was ap­proved af­ter 107 mem­bers of par­lia­ment voted in favour, 59 against and 11 ab­stained. It had been de­bated in the De­wan Rakyat since Oct 30, and was tabled by Na­jib three days ear­lier.
