EVERY ministry must be ready to implement and ensure goals outlined in the 2018 Budget will be achieved, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

He was referring to the Supply Bill 2018, which was passed at the Dewan Rakyat yesterday, after securing a majority bloc division vote from among its members.

“Alhamdullillah (praise be to God), the Supply Bill 2018 or 2018 Budget was passed by the Dewan Rakyat for the first reading.

“I want every ministry to be ready to ensure what has been outlined is achieved and delivered to the people,” he posted on his Twitter and Facebook accounts.

The bill seeks to allocate RM280.25 billion for operating and development expenditure, and was approved after 107 members of parliament voted in favour, 59 against and 11 abstained. It had been debated in the Dewan Rakyat since Oct 30, and was tabled by Najib three days earlier.
