A LANGE & SOHNE SAXONIA THIN

Robb Report (Malaysia) - - Sihh -

In the vein of less is more, the manual-wound Saxonia Thin in its 39mm white gold case is a subtle study of elegance.

Slender hands, rhodiumed gold hour markers and a copper-blue dial animate this 6.2mm-thick timepiece. The mineral flecks of shimmering goldstone on its solid silver dial is reminiscent of aventurine – a word derived from the Italian word ‘a ventura’ meaning ‘by chance’. And it was from manufacturing processes originating from 17th-century Venice which A Lange & Sohne latched upon to position microscopic copper oxide crystals against the dial’s deep blue background.
