My boyfriend is an avid run­ner but I’m more of a group fit­ness kind of girl. Re­cently though, I de­cided to take up run­ning in or­der to spend more time with him. We go on what he calls “fun runs” around a large neigh­bour­hood park on week­end morn­ings, slowly but grad­u­ally tack­ling longer dis­tances. I’m aim­ing to sign up for my first 10K race be­fore the end of this year, so thank you for your fo­cus sto­ries on run­ning for speed and en­durance, as well as in­jury preven­tion.
