Like its sister restaurant Tamarind Springs, Tamarind Hill is surrounded by lush greenery but looks better in the light of day than at night. While the overall plating of the food here is nothing out of the extraordinary, the taste is certainly there. Featuring a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavours, the river lobster is the star of the show albeit its small size. Our second favourite dish is the grilled lamb served with a spicy tamarind sauce. Get a side of French beans tossed with garlic to balance out your meal and do end with the mango sticky rice, but not before asking your waiter or waitress if the mangoes in season are sweet. Complimentary amuse bouches and welcome beverages are a nice touch at the restaurant.
