If you’re here for din­ner, the 15-Mile Jour­ney tast­ing menu is a de­light­ful culi­nary ex­pe­di­tion. It starts with a flavour­ful trio of ap­pe­tis­ers – a savoury cracker, de­hy­drated sam­bal-topped meringue and a spoon­ful of por­ridge.

Dishes like the umami and ma­rina pro­vide bursts of bal­anced flavours while the Tales of Musa sees the hum­ble ba­nana pre­pared in a va­ri­ety of in­ven­tive ways. The Burma Bazar is a small serv­ing of noo­dle soup that teases the palate and moves the jour­ney along.

Mov­ing on to mains, an in­tense curry flavour pro­file is the fo­cal point of the de­li­cious and aro­matic small lamb cut­let with curry leaf soot. Next comes the No­mad’s globe, in­ter­est­ingly pre­sented in a multi-tiered globe. From the tiers, the salad is light and re­fresh­ing, the chicken ver­mi­celli is a hearty of­fer­ing, and the green curry with quail’s egg a fan­tas­tic ad­di­tion.

Two desserts are served, but the chilli ice cream with a bed of mildly sweet white choco­late is the win­ner.
