JEREMY rushed down the stairs two at a time. Five minutes has passed since the bell rang and the canteen would surely be very crowded.

The canteen was packed with students by the time Jeremy arrived. He dashed straight to the noodles stall and joined the long queue there. He was almost at the front of the stall when he noticed that there was only one plate of spaghetti left. Without another thought, Jeremy pushed his way forward and shouted out his order. Several boys in front of him pushed away and told him to stay in the queue. However, Jeremy ignored them.

The stallholder was clueless about what was happening. She gave Jeremy the last plate of spaghetti, A boy in front of Jason was furious because he wanted to order spaghetti too. He snatched the plate from Jeremy and told him that it was actually his. In the fight, the plate of spaghetti flew out of Jeremy’s hands and landed on the floor.

A teacher appeared at that moment. When he found out what was causing the commotion, he reprimanded Jeremy harshly for what he had done. The other boy was also scolded for fighting.

Both boys were punished and made to stand outside the principal’s office for the rest of the recess.
