2017 STAM exam be­gins Oct 23

PU­TRA­JAYA: The Si­jil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) 2017 writ­ten ex­am­i­na­tion will be held on Oct 23, 25, 30 and 31 as well as Nov 1 in­volv­ing 9,534 reg­is­tered can­di­dates.

The Malaysian Ed­u­ca­tion Min­istry (KPM) said in a state­ment yes­ter­day that 4,951 can­di­dates are from state se­condary re­li­gious schools; gov­ern­ment schools, gov­ern­ment aided schools and gov­ern­ment aided re­li­gious schools (2,365); and se­condary pub­lic re­li­gious schools (704).

Ac­cord­ing to the KPM, there are also 92 ex­ter­nal can­di­dates from Cam­bo­dia; pri­vate can­di­dates (1,370); and can­di­dates from pri­vate schools reg­is­tered with KPM (52).

STAM 2017 will be car­ried out at 240 ex­am­i­na­tion cen­tres opened in Malaysia and Cam­bo­dia in­volv­ing 1,071 in­vig­i­la­tors, it said.

In this con­text, the KPM re­minded all can­di­dates to re­fer to the ex­am­i­na­tion time table for in­for­ma­tion on the time and in­struc­tions as well as warn­ings that must be ad­hered to dur­ing the ex­am­i­na­tion.

Ex­am­i­na­tion time table can be down­loaded from the Ex­am­i­na­tions Syn­di­cate web­site at lp.moe.gov.my.

Can­di­dates are also re­minded to bring along their iden­tity card to the ex­am­i­na­tion cen­tres to en­sure the smooth run­ning of the ex­am­i­na­tion. - Ber­nama
